Where it can be seen

This eclipse is partial everywhere: the centre of the Moon's shadow misses the Earth, so nowhere sees the Sun completely covered or a ring of sunlight. The eclipse is deepest in the polar regions on the side the shadow passes.

Protect your eyes

Never look at the Sun without certified eclipse glasses or a solar filter, including during a partial or annular eclipse. Only the brief total phase of a total eclipse, when the Sun is completely covered, is safe to watch unprotected. An annular eclipse is never safe to watch without protection.
